Wi-Fi Alliance Services was created in 2023 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Wi-Fi Alliance®, driven by the purpose of providing AFC services to the Wi-Fi industry. Wi-Fi Alliance Services is approved for commercial operation by the FCC.

Our team

Kevin Robinson President and CEO, Wi-Fi Alliance and Wi-Fi Alliance Services

A 15-year veteran of Wi-Fi Alliance, Mr. Robinson became CEO of the organization in October 2022 and is focused on securing sufficient, harmonized global Wi-Fi spectrum, deepening engagement and cohesion across the Wi-Fi ecosystem, and evolving the organization to ensure it remains as nimble as the industry it serves.

As CEO for Wi-Fi Alliance Services, Mr. Robinson is focused on delivering exceptional AFC operations and maximizing business value.

Gaurav Jain Senior Director, Wi-Fi Technologies

As the Senior Director of Wi-Fi Technologies, Mr. Jain leads Wi-Fi Alliance research and development efforts. Mr. Jain has more than 15 years of experience in the software engineering and wireless connectivity industries. As a core member of the Wi-Fi Alliance engineering group for over a decade, he has contributed to the development of industry-leading certification programs based on IEEE 802.11 standards, Wi-Fi Alliance specifications and related initiatives.

As the Wi-Fi AFC Implementation Lead, Mr. Jain and his team are responsible for engineering, implementation, and security of the AFC system.

Alex Roytblat Vice President, Worldwide Regulatory Affairs

As the Vice President of Worldwide Regulatory Affairs, Mr. Roytblat is responsible for the organization’s overall regulatory strategy. With over 20 years of experience in the field of international telecom regulations, he works with Wi-Fi Alliance members and the executive team on the development of regulatory objectives and directs advocacy for the implementation of these objectives with governments, regulators and international organizations. Prior to joining Wi-Fi Alliance, Mr. Roytblat served at the United States Federal Communications Commission (FCC), where he was involved in all phases of domestic and international radio spectrum management processes.

In his role as Wi-Fi AFC Regulatory Compliance Lead, Mr. Roytblat is focusing on ensuring Wi-Fi AFC implementation complies with established regulatory requirements and processes.

Yonathan Vivas Product Manager

A seasoned Product Manager with more than 10 years of experience managing global IT projects. Mr. Vivas has extensive experience in cloud integration projects with third-party software vendors including McAfee, Google, Dropbox, and Microsoft.

In his role as Wi-Fi AFC Product Manager, Mr. Vivas focuses on managing the product execution and ensuring our customers’ business needs are met.

Development Team

Wi-Fi AFC development team has a combined experience of more than 30 years in architectural design and engineering of cloud computing solutions, embedded software development, technology standardization, and Wi-Fi certification development.

With more than 870 members, tens of thousands of certification records and multiple concurrent work flows over a 20-year period, our development team has deep expertise in database management and recordkeeping and is well positioned to apply that expertise to the records relevant to providing access to the 6 GHz band.

This team is responsible for architecting and implementing our AFC system, including front-end, back-end and interfaces with the AFC service components, software optimizations, security architecture, and deployment. Additionally, their in-depth understanding and technical expertise in industry AFC test specifications helps ensure that Wi-Fi Alliance Services AFC implementation meets established regulatory, performance, and compatibility requirements.
